Terms of use Our forum has been devised as a peer-to-peer support service for users to share their experiences with each other. Members and any other users of the forum do so subject to these terms, including those under Use of Website in our wider 'terms and conditions'.The following additional terms apply:
  • Forum administrators at The Brain Injury Hub and staff at The Children's Trust are unable to respond to enquiries of a medical nature. 
  • Comments made by forum users outside of The Children's Trust may not represent the opinion of The Children's Trust or The Brain Injury Hub and should not be relied upon as representing such views.
  • Members of the forum may post or upload content (which may include text or pictures) as long as it complies with these Terms of Use.
  • We reserve the right (at our sole discretion) to suspend or ban you from the website or forum without notice.
  • We reserve the right to block or remove any content at any time at our sole discretion.
  • Content you post must not contain any information about, or any information that would identify any person(s) under the age of 16 unless you are either the parent or guardian of the child, or you have signed permission from their parent or guardian.
  • You acknowledge that content posted by users does not reflect the views and experience of The Children’s Trust.
  • Any users other than the forum administrator(s) who give the impression that they represent the views or experiences of The Children’s Trust may be removed from the forum without notice.
  • You must have the right to submit any content you post. In submitting your content, you grant The Children’s Trust a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use it on the website. In submitting your content, you agree not to assert any moral or similar rights you have in any content.
  • You also warrant that your content:
    • does not contain any information about or any information that would identify any person(s) under the age of 16 unless you are either the parent or guardian of the child, or you have signed permission from their parent or guardian.
    • Does not infringe any copyright, trade marks, rights of privacy or confidentiality, publicity or any other intellectual property or other rights of any other person or entity. Does not contain malicious code, viruses or other harmful programs or material. Does not violate any applicable laws or codes of conduct.
    • Does not contain any material which constitutes or encourages conduct that could be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be contrary to the law;
    • Does not contain any material which is defamatory;
    • Does not contain any material which is obscene or offensive;
    • Does not contain any material which is likely to disrupt, provoke, attack or offend others
    • Is not racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise objectionable
    • Does not contain swear words or other language likely to offend
    • Is not likely to deceive any person;
    • Is not made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party such as a contractual duty or obligation of confidentiality;
    • Is not likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;
    • Is not likely to disrupt our service in any way;
    • Does not contain links to any sites which might breach the terms above.
    • Parents and other users may wish to recommend services or products to our members through our forums. While we would not wish to discourage this, we retain the right to edit or remove (at our discretion) posts which make explicit reference to products, organisations or services. Posts should not advertise products or services for gain. 
    • We reserve the right to stop, suspend or withdraw the forums or this website at any time.
    • We reserve the right to stop, suspend or withdraw your right to use the forums or this website at any time.
       
The forums are re-actively moderated. This means that we do not pre-approve or check posts or comments before they appear on the site. We will usually only check comments if a complaint is made about them.
