World Brain Day 2015 (July 22)

Organised by the World Federation of Neurology, World Brain day is part of a global campaign to raise awareness of brain and neurological diseases across the world.

This year the day is focusing on epilepsy, a condition which can begin following brain injury. It focuses on how epilepsy is treated and viewed in different countries across the globe.  The below clip is Epilepsy Action’s first aid video so that you know what to do if someone has a tonic-clonic seizure.   The most important thing to remember is to stay calm.  Please share the video with your friends and family and help build epilepsy awareness for World Brain Day.
The Brain Injury Hub will be adding a dedicated page on epilepsy, following brain injury in the coming weeks.  If you would like to share your story of epilepsy following brain injury with us please get in touch thehub@thechildrenstrust.org.uk.
