'The world through our eyes'

A photography exhibition is being held to showcase the work of four men who have had brain injuries.

The group of men came together to form a social enterprise class in Bucks which was set up by Buckinghamshire Adult Learning in partnership with the Community Head Injury Service (NHS Trust) and Headway, a brain injury charity. The art is based in the theme of local landscape and how the men see the world around them. Ken, who was in a coma for a month following a stroke in 2012 and is still in rehabilitation for a subsequent brain injury as a result, said: "The class is great and it's great to meet the other guys who have had similar experiences to me." Ken is exhibiting landscape photographs he took on the Devon coast and hopes that the class becomes a vehicle for more people in rehabilitation to pursue. The exhibition is being held until October 18 at the Queens Park Arts Centre in Aylesbury. Read the full story here.
