Survey looking at how recession affects services for children with disability

The political response across Europe to the banking crisis starting in 2008 has been to impose austerity measures, including cuts to welfare benefits and to public services. To better understand what this means for families with disabled children and young people, the European Academy of Childhood Disability are undertaking a survey looking at enablers and challenges to inclusion and access to services for disabled children and young people in times of austerity. They are asking families and professionals across Europe to fill in a short survey to gain their experiences.  The results will be analysed, presented at the EACD meeting in Amsterdam in May 2017 and will be published in Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology. The survey for families can be found here. The survey for professionals can be found here.
