US supplement "does nothing to improve brain function"

A dietary supplement sold in the US to treat people with an acquired brain injury does nothing to help them, a study has found.  Citicoline is sold at health food stores across the US. But the study of more than 1,200 people with mild, moderate or severe injuries found that those who had been given the supplement scored similarly in function tests as those who were not.
