"Repeat" injury risk

A new study has looked at the risk of ‘repeat’ brain injuries in children and young people. An article published in the Journal of Neurotrauma looks at a ‘window of risk’, in which the brain is vulnerable and still recovering from the initial injury. It is thought that further injuries can have a greater adverse effect the sooner after the original injury they occur. Read about the article here.
