Record payout of at least £14.6 million for mum after botched delivery

Suzanne Adams’ son James was starved of oxygen, suffered brain injury and has cerebral palsy.

She is set to receive potentially the biggest medical negligence payment in history. The High Court have ruled that United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust must pay in excess of £14.6 million for birth injuries, after failing to carry out a Caesarean section on Suzanne and properly monitor her during labour.
Her son James Robshaw, now 12, James cannot speak, dress or feed himself (without assistance of a machine) and must use a wheelchair. The payout reflects the lifetime care that James needs. Click here to read the full story.
