Poll finds many parents give up work

Most parents give up work after their child’s brain injury, a Brain Injury Hub poll has found.  Just over 63 per cent of parents polled said they had given up work, while around 36 per cent said their child’s circumstances allowed them to continue working.  Rob Wood at The Children’s Trust said: “This poll very much reflects the range of difference there is in the way children and their families are affected by an acquired brain injury.  “Some children may need that bit more support on a day-to-day basis, while for other families, employment is something they’re able to work in alongside the care of their children.”  Vote in our latest poll in the yellow box to the side of the page.
