Our book is ‘highly commended’ by renowned organisation

Heads Up, Tim-Tron was shortlisted for the BMA Patient Information Awards.

The award-winning picture book- which is aimed at helping children understand brain injury-  was recognised and highly commended in the information that aids decision making category at the British Medical Association Patient Information awards on 22 September. The ceremony was attended by medical professionals, the president of BMA, Professor Ilora Baroness Finlay and shortlisted organisation representatives. Heads-Up, Tim-Tron, written by Ian Ray is available to order for free here and includes an audiobook narrated by Top Gear star Richard Hammond. The book, which last year received UKABIF’s Innovation award, was created to help children and their families understand brain injury through the story of a robot who bumps his head. The story introduces key clinical strategies for children with brain injury in an engaging world of mechanical marvels, including title character Tim-Tron's encounter with an MRI scanner and his move back to school after his injury.
