Our book has won prestigious award

We are runners up and were 'highly commended' at the British Medical Association Patient Information Awards.

We were presented with the special award at a ceremony in London on Monday (7 September) for the second edition of Acquired brain injury in children: A handbook for parents in the category of Long Term Conditions. Representatives from The Children's Trust, which has created and runs the Brain Injury Hub, were there to collect their certificate.  The award was one of ten Special Award categories and The Children’s Trust was chosen from 165 entries.  The charity’s Information Editor, Maria Coyle said: “We are thrilled. We aim to help, support and enable as many families as possible who have a child with brain injury. This book, which was charitably funded and we are able to provide for free, is one way in which we can do this. “It was a collaborative project with input from expert clinicians at The Children’s Trust, families, reviewers and of course those who helped fund it.” The awards celebrate the production and distribution of accessible, well-designed and clinically balanced patient information. The BMA judging panel said of the publication: “This attractive and really-well put together book will be of use to a great many families. It includes lots of quotes from parents throughout and pictures of real families.” Click here to order your free book.
