Occupational Therapy Week

OT is often used as a rehabilitation technique for children who have suffered a brian injury and children who have profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Occupational Therapy Week (2-8 November) encourages those who work in the practice to raise awarness of OT. Occupational therapy is the use of particular activities as an aid to recuperation from physical or mental illness. The above picture shows Eleanor trying out her pink bath aid, which helps her access the bath in a safe and supportive way! She chose the colour and loves relaxing in the bath.  The Children's Trust, which is the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury, will be teaching others what OT involves by holding workshops where people can get involved in sessions.
