Princess Beatrice visits children with brain injury

She made a special visit to The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury, on 17 November.

Beatrice HRH Princess Beatrice took a tour around the charity’s facilities and met children and staff.She spent time chatting with the family of Freddie who is receiving rehabilitation at The Children’s Trust following a brain injury. Freddie’s mum, Abby Henry said: “Being able to meet the Princess was amazing.  She was very interested to hear about Freddie and the care that he has received at The Children’s Trust.” It is the second time Her Royal Highness has visited the charity as Princess Beatrice received a tour of The Children’s Trust in 2012. Dalton Leong, chief executive of the charity, said: "We were so pleased that Princess Beatrice wanted to come and see first-hand how we support children affected by brain injury and neurodisability. She was very interested to learn that the families we support come from all over the UK to access our specialist services. “The Princess’ visit was a wonderful occasion for the children, young people, families, staff and volunteers."
