New brain injury rehab centre for West Midlands

The facility is to open this week in Willenhall with the help of a £250,000 grant.

Charity Headway Black Country helps residents who have suffered an injury through an accident, an infection or stroke or haemorrhage. A portion of the cash awarded by the National Lottery's BIG Reaching Communities pot is being put towards the opening of the centre. Bosses from the charity, based in Dudley, also attracted a £4,000 grant from the Eveson CharitableTrust towards the scheme to expand its services in Walsall borough and Wolverhampton. Headway Black Country's chief executive Stephen Phipps said the grants will be used to carry out refurbishment to its new branch and install fixtures and fittings. Read the full story.
