"Never give up hope"

A woman recovering from a brain injury has urged others not to “give up hope”.  Katrina Downie, 25, of Aberdeen, was involved in a road traffic accident two years ago that left her in a coma for a fortnight.  Over the course of two years and with the support of a Scottish brain injury rehabilitation service, Ms Downie has made solid progress.  For others recovering from an injury, she had this to say: “Do not give up hope, take each day as it comes and don’t allow your progress to be measured by what other people are saying.”  Source of story: Evening Express (Aberdeen)
