Hollywood star to act character with brain injury

Channing Tatum is set play a young man who becomes a maths genius after being attacked at the age of 31.

According to reports the star is attached to a proposed big screen adaptation of the book Struck By Genius, by Jason Padgett and Maureen Ann Seaberg. The memoir recounts how a violent mugging changed Padgett’s life forever. Following the attack and sustained brain injury, he developed acquired savant syndrome. This then manifested via a newfound ability to understand complex maths and physics concepts. Padgett now works as an artist illustrating the complex geometric shapes he sees all around him.
