Minister's promise to keep brain tumour on agenda

The HeadSmart campaign aims to enhance awareness of symptoms of brain tumours in children and young people and reduce the time it takes for a diagnosis.

Dominic Raab, MP for Esher and Walton led a Westminster Hall debate on September 3. He called on the government to support the campaign by distributing HeadSmart symptom cards and providing education in all schools throughout the UK. He said: "We need to get cards into every single school in the country. If we do that we’ve got a fighting chance of getting diagnosis times down." Health Minister Anna Soubry, who previously attended a Parliamentary event on HeadSmart promised to meet to continue these discussions. Read more here
