Film about brain injury awarded top prize at film festival

Run and Jump tells the story of an Irish mother’s struggle to deal with her husband’s altered personality following a stroke-related brain injury.

Trying to keep her family together in the face of her husband’s injury, she enlists the help of an American neuroscientist who becomes very close to the family. The writer’s father suffered a brain injury and the movie is partly inspired by how she watched her family adjust to a new version of him.
