Families "skipping meals" as austerity deepens

Families of children with disabilities are skipping meals and going without essentials such as a winter coat, a new report has found. Commissioned by the Department for Education, the report surveyed more than 2,000 families and found that many have serious anxieties about finance.  The report focuses on the Family Fund, a national grant-giving charity which is funded largely by the Government.  It warns that demand for grants is likely to soar as austerity measures continue to hit families.  Read the full story here.
