Comedian Adam Hills visits leading charity for children with brain injury

The host of Channel 4's The Last Leg has a prosthetic leg and during the visit met a youngster who is also being fitted for one.

Adam was introduced to Seb during a tour around The Children's Trust on 17 November. The nine-year-old is currently having rehabilitation after being in an accident which resulted in him having his right leg amputated and a brain injury. He is hoping to have a prosthetic leg fitted in a few months. The pair chatted and Adam explained to Seb how he has not been held back by his disability and encouraged Seb to keep up his physiotherapy sessions. "It was an honour to meet Seb and the other kids at The Children's Trust, they are an inspiration," said Adam. "He asked a lot of questions about what it's like to have a prosthetic leg, so I showed him mine. He had me hopping on one foot, doing keep-ups and playing football. I think it made him feel more positive about things." Tracey, Seb's mum said: "He spoke very openly to Seb about his leg, and even told him reasons why having a prosthetic leg was "cool". "Seb was very impressed; hopefully this will give him the lift he needs to keep up the physio exercises."
