Children’s Hospice Week

Holly Willoughby has been among the celebrities to tweet #momentscount to raise awarness of children's hospices.

The national initiative which runs between 11 and 17 May is the UK's only awareness raising and fundraising week for children with life-limiting conditions. The theme, making every moment count focuses on how precious time is for families. For families this means showing what real life is like – the positive moments and the more difficult times; and for services it means showcasing the wide range of support that helps families make the most of every moment. Most children with life-limiting conditions need round the clock care – their families rely on the support of their local children’s hospice so they can make the most of every moment together. During the week, Together for Short Lives charity will be encouraging people to share the moments that matter to them on social media by posting pictures, videos and comments on Twitter and Facebook, using #momentscount.
