CBE for ambassador of children's brain injury charity

A speech and language therapist was also recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours list.

  Jacqueline Gold, ambassador of the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury has been awarded a CBE in the Queen's  New Year honours list for her services to entrepreneurship, women in business and social enterprise. She has been supporting The Children's Trust for several years and has a special connection with the charity. Her son, Alfie received specialist care there. Since then she has been raising awareness of the work of the charity.  Jacqueline is Chief Executive of the Gold Group International companies. A speech and language therapist was also recognised this year, with a MBE for helping people with communication difficulties.  Rebecca Bright founded Therapy Box, a company which provides apps that cater to the needs of those who have communication difficulties. This includes cerebral palsy, motor neurone disease, autism, brain injuries and other neurological and development disorders.
