Call to screen prisoners for brain injury

Prisoners in Scottish jails should be tested for signs of brain injury, a charity has urged. Penal reform charity The Howard League Scotland is calling for screening programmes to pick up injuries that might be treated. The call comes after a number of studies looking at prison populations have found that many offenders have a history of a blow to the head. Read the full story here.
