BAFTA award for real life depiction of learning difficulties and success

Marvellous tells the story of former Stoke City kit man Neil ‘Nello’ Baldwin.

Shown on BBC Two, it won the Best Single Drama at Sunday's (10 may) BAFTA awards. The drama tells the story of Neil's rise to fame - in spite of a life struggling with learning difficulties. It showed how he went from circus clown to working for the professional football club and becoming somewhat of a hero. Neil attended the awards ceremony with long-time friend and former boss at Stoke City, Lou Macari. and Toby Jones - the actor who played him. Watch Marvellous here.
