Moving and Handling Children

Are you involved with moving & handling of Children?  Disabled Living have developed a specialist course  exploring the moving and handling of children in community and educational settings. The day involves practical problem solving, using equipment and techniques tailored for those working with children, and for those assessing their moving and handling needs.  The course aims to enable delegates to handle children in ways which maximise the skills of the child and maintain the safety of the handler. Objectives:
1. Delegates will be able to use relevant law and guidance when risk assessing the manual handling needs of children.
2. Delegates will be able to identify a range of practical recommendations when assessing the manual handling needs of a child.
