Hemi Help Try It Day Newcastle

10am - 4.30pm
Kenton Park Sports Centre
Anfield Road, North Kenton, NE3 3LL
Hemi Help are running a 'Try It' day for children affected by hemiplegia. The event aims is to allow the children a safe space to find a sport that they enjoy in the hope that they might want to take it up as a healthy hobby, long after the “Try It” day has finished. It will be a great opportunity for your children to try sports that they might not normally get the opportunity (or the confidence) to approach, but hopefully knowing that there will be children just like them trying the activities for the first time too it will give them the incentive to have a go.  Some of the activities that will be available to have a go at will be:
  • badminton
  • karate
  • tennis
  • football
  • volleyball
  • dodgeball
  • trampolining
  • a gym workout for the older kids
  • baby and toddler yoga for the little ones
  • purpose built soft play area
  • arts & crafts
  • roller disco party
Siblings are also welcome and there will also be a parent chat in the afternoon where all the parents can come together and talk about subjects that are important to them, swap tips and share experiences.  To find out more and to book you place visit the Hemi Help website
