Childhood ABI Masterclass

9.30am - 4pm
40 Montgomery Rd, Belfast, BT6 9HL
The Child Brain Injury Trust are pleased to offer our Master Class event, which consists of two lectures, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. These Lectures are delivered by leading experts on childhood acquired brain injury and also provide excellent networking opportunities over lunch.

Our Master Class Lectures are aimed at delegates who already have an understanding of childhood acquired brain injury. For those who are new to the topic of acquired brain injury we would recommend listening to one of our Webinar sessions prior to booking a Master Class Lecture. The morning lecture is on social interactions and childhood acquired brain injury:
  • Why can an acquired brain injury impact on social interactions?
  • Perceptions of self and others
  • Typical social difficulties
  • Overcoming and supporting social difficulties following childhood ABI
  • Social inclusion
The afternoon lecture is on acquired brain injury and the links to youth offending: Why are young people with ABI more likely to offend? What evidence is there regarding these potential links? What part does education play in this? What can be done to support these young people? To provide maximum flexibility for our delegates you may book on to both lectures or select just one.
